How to Control High Number of Incidents in the Dashboard?

If too many incidents are being reported by triggering M3, it is usually because the current configuration is detecting multiple conditions as incidents.

In some environments, certain metrics may not be relevant for monitoring. If you find that some metrics do not need to be reported as incidents, you can control this using the Threshold and Discard settings.

Threshold settings allow you to adjust the limits at which an incident is triggered.

Discard settings & Log Error Discard Settings will allow you to ignore specific incidents or patterns that are not relevant to your environment.

By tuning these configurations, you can reduce unnecessary alerts and ensure that only important incidents are reported on the dashboard.
