# Micro-metrics Monitoring (M3) Mode
Micro-metrics Monitoring (M3) Mode (opens new window) is a predictive monitoring feature in the yc-360 script that proactively detects early signs of performance degradation in Java applications. By continuously collecting lightweight system and JVM metrics, it helps forecast problems—like potential OutOfMemoryErrors—before they impact end users.
To execute yCrash tool in M3 mode, you will have to do only two configuration layers:
yc-360 Script Configurations – Controls how metrics are collected from the application.
yCrash Server Configurations – Controls how collected data is analyzed, filtered, and notified.
